Military Specification MIL-F-008785A (USAF), 'Flying Qualities of Piloted Airplanes,' was evaluated by conducting a detailed comparison of its requirements with the known characteristics of a modern, high-performance, multi-mission weapon system, the McDonnell Douglas F-4.
