Question:What is Storming Media?
Answer:Storming Media is a private federal government information reseller. We sell unclassified U.S. federal government reports.
Question:Can I get the report I want in electronic format instead of on paper?
Answer:Yes. When ordering a report, add a PDF version to your cart.
Question:When will I receive my PDF order?
Answer:Storming Media conducts a review of every order we receive before processing it to ensure the release of the reports is proper. If your PDF order is placed between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM Eastern Standard Time, Mondays through Fridays, in most cases you should receive it within a few minutes of ordering. If you order at other times of the day or on weekends, it may take a little longer for your order to be processed. In all cases, you should receive your PDF order within 12 hours after you place it, often much sooner. If more than a day has passed and you have not yet received your order, please check your spam folder to see if the order delivery message was intercepted as spam. If not, please check the My Account page for links to your receipt and PDFs.
Question:What should I do if I am having problems accessing my PDF order?
Answer:You should receive an e-mail message soon after you place your order delivering links to the documents you ordered as well as a link to your receipt. You should be able to click on the colored, underlined link(s) in that message and your browser window should automatically open the PDF version of the report(s) and the html version of your receipt. If that doesn't happen, use your mouse to highlight the entire URL for each document, copy the address, then open your browser and paste the address into the address window, and press enter. The document should then open correctly. Note that some reports are very large and will take a few minutes to open, especially if you have a standard dial-up connection. You must have Adobe Reader installed on your computer in order to be able to open, view, and save PDF files. You may download this free software from Adobe. If you continue to have problems, contact us.
Question:Will I receive a receipt with my order?
Answer:Yes. If you ordered printed versions of reports, a printed copy of your receipt will be included in the package. You will also receive an electronic version of your receipt by e-mail when we notify you that your order has shipped. If you ordered PDF versions of reports, the electronic version of your receipt can be accessed by clicking the link at the bottom of that message. You may also check your My Account page to view your receipt as soon as your order has been fully processed.
Question:Can I order equipment or supplies from Storming Media?
Answer:No. We cannot supply equipment, supplies or other goods mentioned in any of our reports.
Question:Can Storming Media tell me where to order equipment or supplies?
Answer:No. We cannot offer any suggestions on how you might obtain these items.
Question:Can I order software, maps, photographs, posters or other images from Storming Media?
Answer:No. We cannot supply software, CDs, DVDs, photographs, posters or other images or anything else mentioned in any of our reports. If you read a report abstract on our website that mistakenly indicated that such media would be provided with the report, please let us know so we can correct the error. And sorry, we cannot offer any suggestions on how you might obtain these items.
Question:Can Storming Media forward my message to a report author, or give me a phone number, address or e-mail address for a report author?
Answer:No. We are not in contact with the authors, the agencies or companies associated with the reports and we do not have any contact information for them, nor can we offer any advice on how you might contact them.
Question:Can Storming Media help me get an article published?
Answer:No. We do not publish original works from authors and we don't have contact with other publishers who might assist with publication.
Question:Can Storming Media answer questions about something I read in a report on your website?
Answer:No. We do not have expertise in any of the subjects of our reports and we cannot answer questions about the subject matter of any reports.
Question:Can Storming Media provide reports that are not listed on your website?
Answer:If a report has been released by the federal government, Storming Media may be able to obtain it for you whether it is listed on our website or not. Contact us and provide as much information as possible about the report and we will try to find it for you.
Question:The report I need is listed on your website as "Title Unavailable". Is there any way to get it?
Answer:Reports listed as "Title Unavailable" are not available from Storming Media. We have listed these reports on our website for bibliographic completeness and to help you know what other work has been performed in this field. We are not in contact with the authors, the agencies or companies associated with the report and we cannot provide any suggestions on how to obtain these reports.
Question:I have a security clearance. Can Storming Media provide classified government reports?
Answer:No.
Question:I just placed an order with Storming Media. When will it ship to me?
Answer:Storming Media tries to ship orders the same business day they are placed. If your order is large with multiple documents or if you order after 4 p.m. Eastern Standard Time, your order will probably not ship out until the next business day.
Question:I placed my order more than a week ago and have not received it yet. Where is my order?
Answer:Please contact Storming Media if you are in the United States and more than three business days have passed, or if you are outside of the United States and more than seven business days have passed, and you have not received your order.
Question:How does Storming Media ship my order to me?
Answer:Storming Media ships exclusively via the U.S. Postal Service. In the United States, we ship via U.S. Priority Mail which generally takes 2-3 business days to arrive depending on your location. Outside of the US, we ship via Global Priority Mail to countries that accept it, or via Airmail Letterpost to countries that do not accept Global Priority Mail. For large orders shipping outside of the U.S. that weigh more than four pounds, the U.S. Postal Service requires us to ship via Global Express Mail. Overseas packages generally take 4-7 business days to arrive. Sometimes they may take a bit longer to arrive if the receiving country's customs process is slow.
Question:How much will shipping and handling cost for my order?
Answer:Storming Media does not charge a handling fee and charges actual shipping costs only. Shipping costs are based on your location and the weight of the package. For most orders of one report under 300 pages this cost is approximately $4.60 for shipping within the United States, $9.50 to Mexico and Canada and $11 shipping to other countries. If you would like to know your total shipping cost prior to placing your order, please contact us with the titles, report numbers, and your shipping address and we will calculate the order total for you.
Question:I need rush shipping for my order. Can you ship Fedex/UPS/courier?
Answer:Storming Media ships exclusively via the U.S. Postal Service. We do not ship via Fedex, UPS or any other carrier. However, we can ship via Express Mail in the United States which generally takes 1-2 business days to arrive depending on your location, the size of your order and how early in the business day you place your order. We can also ship via Global Express Mail or Global Express Guaranteed Document Delivery to most other countries. Costs for Express Mail and Global Express Mail are based on your location and the weight of the package. If you would like to know your total shipping cost prior to placing your order, please contact us with the titles, report numbers, and your shipping address and we will calculate the order total for you. If you are in a rush to obtain documents, you should consider ordering electronically in PDF format.
Question:I am looking for a job, internship or fellowship at a University. Can Storming Media help me get one?
Answer:No. Storming Media is not an academic institution, nor do we have any positions available for interns, students, or anyone else associated with academia. We do not conduct research or publish journals or academic writings. We cannot assist you with obtaining a position at or submitting a publication to any College or University. We do not have any contact information for anyone who can assist you with this.
Question:I do not have a credit card. Can I still order a report?
Answer:Yes. In addition to Visa, Mastercard, Discover Card and American Express, we also accept checks drawn on U.S. banks and wire transfers; however, there is a $25 bank fee for paying via wire transfer. Please contact us for more information.
Question:Can I pay for my order with a check?
Answer:Yes, if your check is drawn on a U.S. bank. We cannot accept checks drawn on non-U.S. banks.
Question:Can I pay for my order using Western Union?
Answer:No. We cannot accept Western Union/telex payments, or payment in non-US dollars.
Question:Can I pay for my order with a money order?
Answer:Yes, if you use a United States money order, purchased in the United States with US dollars. We only accept U.S. money orders, such as U.S. Postal Service money orders. We cannot accept non-US money orders.
Question:Can I pay for my order using a wire transfer or an international wire transfer?
Answer:Yes, Storming Media accepts wire transfers; however, there is an additional $25 fee added to your order total for paying via this method. Note that most banks charge an additional fee to you, the sender, to transfer funds. Be sure to specify that all fees included in your wire transfer amount be prepaid by you, the sender, and are not deducted from the total amount we receive, or that could delay your order. Question:Can I purchase a pdf from Storming Media without providing my email address?
Answer:No. Storming Media is unable to provide pdf copies of our U.S. government reports on CD-ROM or via any method other than downloading from our website. You must provide us with a valid email address and payment details in order to purchase from our website. If you are concerned with privacy, including how we will use your personal information and keep it secure, please read our privacy policy. The bottom line is that we will not give out your email address to anybody unless you specifically ask us to.

Question:What do Storming Media reports look like? Can I get a hardback version of a report?
Answer:The reports that Storming Media provides are printed double-sided on 8 1/2" by 11" white paper and are Velobound using an 11-pin heat transfer system with a soft linen cover. We are unable to provide reports in hardcover format.
Question:Will my report be in color or black-and-white?
Answer:In some cases, printed reports are in color but most are black-and-white copies of original documents. In all cases, we provide the best possible copy available to us. If you want to know whether a report is in color and how legible the copy is, please contact us prior to ordering.
Question:I don't know if the report I'm ordering will be useful or not. Can I find out any additional information about it?
Answer:Although we are not subject-matter experts in the areas our reports cover, we are able to provide frontmatter and tables of contents for reports prior to your ordering them and we do our best to answer questions if we are able. Please contact us for more information.
Question:Does Storming Media provide free copies of reports to students, professors, researchers, libraries, or academic institutions?
Answer:No. Storming Media depends on the revenues generated by sales of government documents to be able to continue to provide this service to our customers. As such, we are unable to provide free desk copies or interlibrary loan copies of our documents to individuals or to academic institutions. However, we do provide discounts to booksellers, as is traditional industry practice.

Answer:United States law forbids American companies to do business with residents of Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Angola, Burma, Liberia, Syria, and Sierra Leone. Additionally, we reserve the right to refuse sales to countries like Nigeria and Indonesia with high incidences of fraud.
