This information is provided for reference purposes only.Structural changes induced by mechanical milling of Ni3Al has been studied using extended x-ray absorption fine-structure (EXAFS) technique. Results indicate that the final products of the transformation process was a Ni- rich nanocrystalline phase and an Al-rich phase. The Al-rich phase may be at the nanocrystalline boundaries and/or within the more extensive amorphous regions observed by TEM.

This information is provided for reference purposes only.Creep curves of an aluminium matrix composite reinforced with continuous alumina fibers, which were obtained at various stress levels and temperatures between 573 and 773 k, were analytically examined. most of the creep curve at high stress could be approximately expressed by logarithmic creep; this type of creep may be associated with the exponential creep law of the aluminium matrix.
