a servo-coupled, moving, paired-slit system was constructed. the first slit is located at the exit aperture of an x-ray tube collimator. the second slit, equivalent to the focal-plane shutter of a camera, is placed just before the screen-film combination and serves to prevent the scattered radiation originating in the phantom patient from reaching the film. a theoretical analysis and experimental verification were carried out in order to gauge the effects ...
The feasibili/y of reusing membranes was explored. An attempt was made to compare the permeability rates of three salicylate esters in membranes prepared from anhydrous callous tissue. The difference in the permeability rates of methylsalicylate in membranes composed of stratum corneum conjunctum and membranes prepared from excised human callous tissue were investigated. (Author)
