 | The singularity expansion method (SEM) has been applied to determine natural resonances of a horizontal wire and perpendicular crossed wires oriented over an imperfect ground plane. In order to account for the imperfect conductivity of the ground, the Sommerfeld formulation is used and a theoretical-numerical solution obtained.  | Carolina bays were analyzed on the Eastern Shore of Virginia utilizing infrared imagery and pedologic techniques. Over 160 bays were delineated thus indicating they are major land-forms in the area.
