Polyurethane adhesives are currently used in Apache aviator masks to secure polycarbonate lenses to a bromobutyl-natural rubber face piece. An alternative polyurethane adhesive packaged in a pre-measured assembly was investigated to determine its suitability for mask remanufacturing operations.
