Past In-Situ Burning Possibilities JAN 1999 346 pages
Authors:  Gary Yoshioka; Eva Wong; Beverly Grossman; Wendy Drake; Bob Urban; ICF INC FAIRFAX VA
The full text of this report is available for sale. This study evaluated the feasibility of conducting in-situ burning (ISB) using current technology on post 1967 major oil spills over 10,00 barrels in North America and over 50,00 barrels in South America and Europe. A diverse set of 141 spills representing various combinations of parameters affecting spill responses (e.g., spill size, oil type, weather conditions, sea temperature, and geographic location) were evaluated using four "Phase I" criteria: distance to populated ...

Filters for Mobile Radio from High Temperature Ceramic Superconductors 91
Authors:  G. E. Peterson; Eva Wong; N. Alford; AT AND T BELL LABS MURRAY HILL NJ
The full text of this report is not available and therefore is not for sale. This information is provided for reference purposes only.Mobile radio frequencies lie between 30 MHz and 1000 MHz. This frequency range is ideal for ceramic high Tc superconductors. We have designed Chebyshev and Butterworth filters that employ high Tc superconductors in the form of helices. In general, the performance of these filters at milliwatt power levels is excellent. We shall describe fabrication of the superconductors and filter design.
