Throughout history, fathers and mothers from all races and religious beliefs, have tried to understand why their son or daughter was killed in war. Indeed, over the centuries, military professionals, scholars, philosophers, and religious leaders have contemplated and struggled with trying to understand the nature of war in a desperate attempt to learn how to prevent it.
