The overall objective of this project is to develop a commercial quality, validated computer aided design (CAD) tool, THz quantum based semiconductor devices. THz device design must account for quantum effects such as quantum resonant modes, quantum mode mixing, tunneling, intersubband transitions, side wall scattering, and surface recombination.
