A study has been made of the reaction of sodium nitrosyl with hexafluorobenzene but no nitroso pentafluorobenzene was formed. Two silanes containing the trifluorovinyl group have been synthesized. One of these, CF2CF(CH2)2Si(CH3)3 has been treated with NOCl but no nitroso com pound was formed. Gas-phase additions of NOCl with fluoroolefins has been continued.
