(U) THIS PAPER DESCRIBES A 320X240 ROOM-TEMPERATURE INFRARED FPA THAT OPERATES IN THE 8-12 MICRON SPECTRAL BAND, BASED ON SILICON MICROBOLOMETER TECHNOLOGY. THE DETECTORS ARE ARE FABRICATED MONOLITHICALLY ON THE SILICON READOUT CIRCUITS USING VO(X) AS THE BOLOMETER MATERIAL. INITIAL MEASUREMENTS REPORTED IN THE PAPER INDICATE THAT THE FPAS ARE OPERATING WITH AN NETD SENSITIVITY OF ABOUT 100 MK FOR AN F/1 APERTURE. NONUNIFORMITY IN THE SYSTEM IS ALSO MEASURED. ...
