Most existing studies used small populations and single post-diagnosis specimens. As part of a larger ressearch program we conducted a hypothesis-generating, pilot case-control study of T. gondil antibodies among individuals discharged from the US military with a diagnosis of schizophrenia and multiple pre- and post- diagnosis serum specimens available.
