A general methodology in Structural Dynamics based on the use of generalized coordinates is presented. These general methods are demonstrated by analysis of some of the problems of slender, conventional, launch vehicles. Applications of the general methodology are also given for complex configurations employing thin shell tanks in clustered arrangements.
