This information is provided for reference purposes only.The authors stress the importance of neuroglycopenia secondary to hypoglycemia as a possible cause or contributing factor in aircraft accidents. A study was designed to investigate the neurophysiological correlations of neuroglycopenia. The generation of spontaneous cerebral electrical activity in healthy young adults is quantified in a computer-assisted study, with subjects placed under fixed hypoglycemic conditions. (js)
