In this work, we are developing a multi-function, dismounted system for longwave infrared (LWIR) surveillance with auto target cueing capability. The system consists of two main parts (1) electro-optical (EO) system and (2) image processing unit. Integrated with the uncooled LWIR imager in the EO system is a Thales MELT laser range finder, electronic compass and GPS module for additional target information.
