Release behaviors of polychlorinated biphenyls in solid materials (PCBs-ISM) were investigated under laboratory-simulated shallow-water leaching conditions for a series of intact representative shipboard solids found onboard vessels considered for use as artificial reefs. This effort focused on the following broad classes of shipboard solids: Electrical Cable, Felt Gasket, Bulkhead Insulation, Foam Rubber, Black Rubber, and Paint.
