A conceptual helicopter design method utilizing closed form formulas and approximations from historical data is developed for use in a helicopter design course. The design manual is to be used for the conceptual design of a single main rotor, utility helicopter. The manual was written principally for use in AE4306--Helicopter Design. (Author)
