This report describes an investigation of circuit techniques to minimize spurious responses in varactor-tuned filters. Design equations for the center frequency, bandwidth and insertion loss of single and multiple-resonator filters are presented. Series-resonant filters with one and two resonators were constructed and measurements of their performance characteristics were made.
