Electrical Conductivity Studies of the Soils of the Middle Atlantic Region: Virginia. APR 1972
Authors:  William H. Hulse; John W. Walker; Douglas C. Pearce; ARMY ELECTRONICS COMMAND FORT MONMOUTH N J
The full text of this report is not available and therefore is not for sale. This information is provided for reference purposes only.Awareness of the perturbing effects of near-surface soils on local electromagnetic signal propagation has led to a program aimed at correlating electrical properties of soil with environmental factors. This information is expected to lead to a predictive capability for soils in militarily inaccessible regions. Such a capability is significant for remote sensor deployment, etc. in tactical situations. In the present study, the electrical conductivity of near-surface soils of Virginia was ...

ELECTRICAL PROPERTIES OF SELECTED VIETNAM SOILS. FEB 1969
Authors:  William H. Hulse; John W. Walker; Douglas C. Pearce; ARMY ELECTRONICS COMMAND FORT MONMOUTH N J
The full text of this report is not available and therefore is not for sale. This information is provided for reference purposes only.Selected Vietnam soil samples provided by the U. S. Army Waterways Experiment Station (WES) and by personnel of a U. S. Army Electronics Command (USAECOM) quick reaction team were analyzed with respect to their electrical properties and geological parameters. The relative dielectric constant, effective conductivity, and attenuation values for frequencies from 50 to 500 MHz are given for each sample. (Author)
