The full text of this report is not available and therefore is not for sale. This information is provided for reference purposes only. This paper presents a study of intergranular fracture in NiAl doped with boron and carbon. Room temperature compression tests were carried out at a strain rate of 3.3 x 10(-3)/s. Boron segregation was found to enhance grain boundary cohesion and reduce intergranular fracture. Also, poor grain boundary cohesion was found to be a major cause of brittle intergranular fracture.
