Watervliet Arsenal's (WVA's) chrome plating controls in its l2O-mm plating facility required enhancements and upgrades to improve efficiency and reduce operating costs. A site visit and preliminary investigation determined that system hardware needed modification. This report describes two projects conducted at Watervliet Arsenal (WVA), NY, during Fiscal Year 2000. The first project included an upgrade of the crane and hoist in the minor parts chrome plating facility. Another problem was the facility's existing chromic acid and electro-polish pumps, which were sealed pumps.
