The AGARD Aerospace Medical Panel sponsored a Workshop on the Medical Surveillance of Subjects for Acceleration Research. There remain unanswered questions about the possible long-term medical complications of repetitive exposure to G forces. The concept underlying the Workshop was that subjects for acceleration research form a highly medically screened cohort in whom medical concerns about G exposure might be addressed by pooling data.
