A second-generation tunable Laser-Induced Fluorescence-Cone Penetrometer Test (LIF-CPT) system has been developed and demonstrated at three different Air Force Bases as an alternative site characterization technology. This represents an innovative technology for delineating soil contamination resulting from fuel spills.
