Abstract:
Several reports on interference caused by Frequency Hopping radios are reviewed. A theoretical model based on ITU-R 1S.851-1 is developed and validated against data obtained from measurements made at Department of Communications and the Arts Laboratories. Parameters for various antenna configurations used in the Australian Army are then given and coupled with pathloss predictions to estimate required distance separations for full band frequency hopping radios from Primary Service areas of Television Broadcast transmitters.
