Abstract:
An integrated design for the CRAMTD Pouch Line was successfully developed and implemented. The design brings together the control of the filling, packaging, and crate loading operations under a single controller. The design provides a complete level 2 control system through the implementation of a production line controller ('Centralized Control Station'), which can be implemented as a stand alone module. The design also provides hooks to level 3 and level 4 automation through the implementation of a shop floor SCADA (supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) node. These demonstrations showed that this integrated design is feasible and could be considered by an industrial company for implementation in a commercial plant.
