Abstract:
The report gives an up-to-date account of active Foundational Research tasks. These tasks fall into the following categories: solid state physics, metallurgy, electromagnetic interaction with atoms and molecules, intense radiation, field theory, elementary particles, liquid state, superconductivity, applied mathematics and computer sciences, fluid flow theory, thermodynamics of high temperatures, high speed gas flows, earth re-entry body problems, explosive properties of solids at high pressure, chemistry of high energy compounds, and electrochemistry for power sources.
