Initial Analysis of NAVSTAR Vehicle 38 Calorimeter Test Data

Authors: G. S. Arnold; J. C. Uht; D. G. Hall; AEROSPACE CORP EL SEGUNDO CA TECHNOLOGY OPERATIONS
Abstract:
This report presents an analysis of the first three months of calorimeter data from the NAVSTAR vehicle 38 solar array contamination flight test. The conclusion of this preliminary analysis is that the calorimeters' solar absorptances are increasing at a rate of several percent (absolute value) per year. These values are consistent with the observed approx. 2% per year anomalous solar array power loss.
