THE TRANSFER FUNCTION OF AE IN LIVING BODY

Authors: X. J. Gao; K. Murota; Y. Tomita; M. Ono; Y. Higo
Abstract:
main frequency component of detected ae which emitted from total hip prosthesis is the function of the fixation condition of the prosthesis. in order to clarify the mechanism, we introduced the ae to the prosthesis and the surrounding bone, and measured the transfer function from ae source to ae detecting location during a total hip replacement operation. it is shown that the power spectrum of ae changed little through the propagation path in the early fixation stage.
