Study of the Phase Transition in Niobium Dioxide.

Authors: P. M. Raccah; ILLINOIS UNIV AT CHICAGO CIRCLE DEPT OF PHYSICS
Abstract:
It is shown that it is indeed possible to use underdamped hard modes of high symmetry to determine quantitatively the temperature dependence of the order parameter in a structural phase transition (SPT). The example chosen is that of the SPT in NbO2.
