The Role of Co-Oxidation and Commensalism in the Biodegradation of Recalcitrant Molecules.

Authors: Jerome J. Perry; NORTH CAROLINA STATE UNIV RALEIGH DEPT OF MICROBIOLOGY
Abstract:
Studies were performed on the cooxidation of various substrates, e.g., malathion, propylene, cyclohexane, polychlorinated biphenyls, and terpenes. The enzymes involved in cooxidation and commensalistic relationships whereby the products of an organism are utilized by another were investigated. (Author)
