Abstract:
This study was conducted at Lake City Army Ammunition Plant during the period 16-31 August 1971 to determine if there is any ground water contamination from mercury leeching out of industrial waste treatment plant lagoon sludges; to establish if the discharges of Lake City Army Ammunition Plant are having an adverse effect on West Fire Prairie Creek; to determine the effectiveness of the industrial treatment plant; and to furnish data for utilization by Frankford Arsenal in considering process modifications for 'in-process' elimination or reduction of pollutants.
