Abstract:
This report provides fundamental concepts of chemical soil stabilization so that a user might evaluate soil stabilization as a pavement construction alternative, determine the type and quantity of stabilizer required and direct the construction of stabilized pavement layers. The methods covered include stabilization of roadway and airfield systems with time, cement, asphalt, fly ash and combination stabilizers. Keywords: Roads; Runways.
