Abstract:
A new method based on coherence analysis in the frequency domain for predicting chatter is presented. From the evidence of the experiments conducted, the ability of this method to detect different types of chatter does not seem to be affected by the cutting conditions. The theory of the method is presented, which is then validated by experiments also described. (Copyright 1992 by Taylor & Francis Ltd.).
