OPTIMAL MULTI-ECHELON STOCKAGE POLICIES WITH CONSTRAINTS.

Authors: W. Karl Kruse; ARMY LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT CENTER FORT LEE VA
Abstract:
A multi-echelon model is used to develop optimal stockage policies for a catalog of items. The items were the repair parts of a rough terrain forklift on which a military essentiality methodology had been tested. The model included such factors as holding cost, performance objective, military essentiality, and transportation cost. An optimization algorithm was developed and a constraint manipulation technique experimented with. (Author)
