Empirical relationship has been developed to estimate the modulus of elasticity (Static) employing Compression wave velocity, Shear wave velocity, dry bulk density and apparent porosity. Good agreement is observed between the modulus of elasticity (Static) computed as above (E(subscript)comp), and the same evaluated through recording deformation in uniaxial compression (E). (Author).
